Bobby "Blue" Bland was one of the Beale Streeters during the early 1950s. During the early sixties he released a terrific alblum, (Duke DLP 74 1961) "Two Steps from the Blues." Although Bobby is a prolific artist who recorded a wealth of material, he didn't become the mega star that he should have become. He has a great voice and released some great rhythm and blues singles! The Blues Foundations awarded Bobby the "Lifetime Achievement Award" on November 9, 1998.
